Nanoparticles and biogas from the olive sector’s waste

It is possible to produce iron nanoparticles encapsulated in a carbon matrix (OPS) using waste from the olive sector. This method optimises the quality of biogas production, simultaneously reducing synthesis costs and waste. The EU-funded SMALLOPS project is geared towards scaling up the growth of its associated company by establishing collaborative partnerships with potential clients. The project involves offering pilots to clients of varying sizes and with diverse facilities, utilising mixtures of different raw materials to obtain relevant metrics. The outcomes of these initiatives will facilitate entry into other biogas plants that employ similar mixtures to those in the olive sector, converting them into direct customers. The goal is to adapt and consolidate the business plan and growth strategy.
