CTAEX is a private non-profit R&D centre in Extremadura founded in 2000 by agri-food entities. It works across the agri-food value chain, focusing on agricultural and food research structured around sustainability, diversification and ICT. CTAEX brings together 70 partners from key agri-food sectors and supports innovation and technology transfer to enhance sustainability, competitiveness and circularity. It has experimental farms, food pilot plants, authorized seed and GMO activities, and strong expertise in by-product valorisation, process optimisation, digitalisation and knowledge transfer.

CTAEX is a strong RTD partner for HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-FARM2FORK-10, addressing sustainable and healthy diets for ageing populations from product to process and scale-up. It translates nutritional evidence into affordable, dysphagia-adapted foods for home care and residential settings, including texture-modified and bioactive-enriched products.
