HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-FARM2FORK-03: Institute for the Research in Agrifood Resources (INURA) of the University of Extremadura

The Institute for Research in Agrifood Resources (INURA) of the University of Extremadura brings together more than 80 researchers across 15 groups, with strong expertise in the quality, safety and sustainability of agricultural and agrifood products. Its research covers plant pathogens, rapid detection technologies, microbial biocontrol systems and sustainable postharvest management. INURA maintains close collaboration with the regional agrifood industry, generating applied knowledge that adds value along the entire food chain, from field to table.

We offer expertise in protein yield and quality assessment in protein crops, development of minimally processed protein-based foods, functional evaluation using in-vitro digestion models, by-product valorisation (recovery of proteins, phenolics and fibres), design of functional foods from residues and soil enrichment using crop and processing by-products.
