MSCA-PF 2026: Targeting SOCE as a Therapeutic Strategy in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. From In Vitro Models to Patient-Derived In Vivo Approaches. University of Extremadura (UEX | Candidate for Global Fellowship)

Joel Nieto Felipe holds a PhD from the University of Extremadura and a background in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology. His research focuses on Store-Operated Calcium Entry (SOCE) and its role in breast cancer progression. He has contributed to 15 scientific publications, participated in competitive research projects and completed an international research stay at the University of Graz. His expertise includes cellular and molecular biology, microscopy, flow cytometry and cancer functional assays, together with strong skills in scientific communication and collaborative research.

Joel Nieto Felipe has developed strong scientific independence through direct responsibility in experimental design, methodological planning and data interpretation within competitive research projects. He has contributed to the execution and coordination of key scientific activities, generating high-quality publishable results. In addition, he has supervised four undergraduate theses and supported laboratory training activities, strengthening his leadership, mentoring and scientific communication skills in collaborative research environments.
