The Gjesdal Municipality in Norway and the research institute SINTEF are looking for partners for the NEB

Gjesdal Municipality (Norway), together with the research institute SINTEF, is seeking partners for the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-NEB-2027-01-REGEN-03. The project aims to transform the existing E39 highway corridor in Ålgård into a green, human-centred, and multifunctional urban district after the road is rerouted through a new tunnel. By bringing together public authorities, researchers, developers, landowners, and local communities, the initiative seeks to develop innovative planning, governance, and investment models for the sustainable regeneration of former transport corridors. The project will create a shared vision for urban redevelopment, promoting liveability, environmental sustainability, and community cohesion while preventing fragmented, car-oriented growth. The consortium is open to SMEs, public authorities, research organisations, and civil society actors, with an expression of interest deadline of 1 September 2026.
