Decontaminate and bioremediate aquatic pollution

Lyon Metropole and Artelia are seeking partners and a coordinator for a Horizon Europe project under the call HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01, focused on developing and implementing solutions to decontaminate aquatic pollution. The project will address pollution in marine and freshwater ecosystems, including groundwater, with a particular focus on emerging contaminants such as PFAS, antimicrobials, and microplastics. It aims to combine bioremediation solutions, improved monitoring tools, scientific knowledge on pollutant impacts, and governance models involving local stakeholders. The consortium plans to include 6–8 pilot and replication sites across Europe and is especially seeking cities, regional authorities, and organisations able to provide real-world polluted sites. The call follows a two-stage process, with the first deadline on 16 April 2026 and an expression of interest deadline of 31 January 2026.
