Cluster 5: Association of Popular Universities of Extremadura (AUPEX)
- WHO WE ARE:
AUPEX is a non-profit organization representing 220 rural municipalities in Extremadura (Spain). It works as a network for education, culture, social and digital inclusion, civic participation and sustainability. AUPEX has over 290 staff and reaches more than 100,000 participants annually through lifelong learning, employment and digital skills programs, cultural and heritage actions, social intervention, international cooperation, digital literacy centres, Circular FABs for innovation, and initiatives aligned with the SDGs.
- WHAT WE OFFER:
AUPEX contributes to Horizon CL5 calls through community-based pilots, citizen engagement and SSH expertise. It supports climate literacy, anti-disinformation actions and accessible climate communication, including testing digital and AI-based tools. AUPEX enables participatory co-design and societal validation of climate and sustainability scenarios, translates complex models into usable narratives, and pilots them in real decision-making contexts.
