HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-FARM2FORK-01-two-stage: Centre of Scientific and Technological Research of Extremadura (CICYTEX)
- QUIENES SOMOS:
CICYTEX (Center for Scientific and Technological Research of Extremadura) is a public-sector entity of the Regional Government of Extremadura. We coordinate applied research and technological development in agriculture, livestock and the agri-food sector, supporting regional competitiveness. Within CICYTEX, the Meat Quality Area brings long-standing expertise in digitalisation technologies (e.g., NIRS) and on-farm/processing validation, with strong links to farmers, cooperatives and the regional agri-livestock industry.
- QUE OFRECEMOS:
CICYTEX can develop and validate NIRS-based prototypes and data-driven protocols to optimise feed, water, inputs, and management, enhancing sustainability through rapid on-site measurements. NIRS offers a faster, greener alternative to traditional lab analyses, enabling frequent monitoring, early warnings, and data-driven decisions. Innovations will be tested in experimental farms and partner networks, assessing environmental, social, and economic impacts, while adoption barriers are identified and addressed via training, guidelines, and cost-benefit tools.
