- QUIENES SOMOS:
Dr. Mariela Ortiz is an expert in electrochemical energy storage, specialising in advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries, including cathodes, anodes and solid electrolytes. She has coordinated and participated in international projects and collaborations across Europe and Latin America. Her expertise includes electrochemical characterisation, degradation studies and sustainable battery systems. She has supervised 10+ degree projects, one completed PhD and several ongoing doctoral and junior researchers, providing training in experimental work, data analysis and scientific communication.
- QUE OFRECEMOS:
Research facilities: CIIAE, integrated within FUNDECYT-PCTEX, is a public research centre focused on advanced energy storage systems for renewable integration and energy transition. Its laboratories host state-of-the-art equipment for materials synthesis and characterisation, including Raman, TGA, DSC, XRD, ICP, FTIR, DLS, XRM and AFM, together with facilities for lithium-ion battery electrode preparation and electrochemical testing. The multidisciplinary team provides a strong collaborative research environment.
