MSCA-PF 2026: Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (JUMISC)

The Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (JUMISC) is a public, multidisciplinary institution devoted to research, innovation, training and technology transfer in Minimally Invasive Surgery and health care. It promotes innovation and medical training in collaboration with hospitals and medical companies. Dr. Francisco Miguel Sánchez Margallo is the Scientific Director and has led or participated in more than 150 national and international R&D projects, supervised 42 doctoral theses and is currently mentoring five PhD candidates.

JUMISC conducts research in multiple biomedical fields, including minimally invasive surgery and in vivo preclinical trials for pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Its strategic lines cover surgical robotics, prostatic disease therapies, cardiovascular research, biomedical engineering, 3D bioprinting and printing for regenerative medicine and training, cell therapy, personalized medicine, biomaterials evaluation, device validation, digital and immersive technologies, and assisted reproduction techniques.
