HORIZON-CL6-2027-02-CLIMATE-01-two-stage: INTROMAC
- WHO WE ARE:
INTROMAC is a public research institute of the Extremadura, focused on improving competitiveness in energy-efficient construction through R&D and innovation. Its work covers energy efficiency, sustainability, advanced materials, heritage and industrial optimisation. The centre combines expertise in sustainable construction, retrofitting, monitoring, acoustics and circular economy with capabilities in waste recycling, material revalorisation, sustainable mining and water management, supported by advanced testing facilities and participation in national standardisation committees.
- WHAT WE OFFER:
INTROMAC contributes expertise in Nature-Based Solutions through innovative and sustainable construction materials. The centre develops circular drainage layers using valorised industrial waste streams that actively regulate water flow during floods and enhance infiltration during droughts. By transforming conventional pavements into dynamic systems for urban water management, INTROMAC supports resilient and sustainable urban infrastructure based on alternative raw materials and circular economy principles.
