- WHO WE ARE:
CICYTEX is a public entity with patrimonial, organizational and functional autonomy of the Regional Government of Extremadura that provide coverage and support to the agricultural and livestock sector in R&D and Innovation. To this end, we develop applied research projects tailored to the needs of the different stakeholders in the sector, supporting the agricultural company and betting on the transfer of the knowledge generated in its facilities.

- WHAT WE OFFER:
We offer extensive expertise in food safety, including detection of pathogens (S. aureus, L. monocytogenes, verotoxigenic E. coli, Salmonella spp.) and isolation of lytic bacteriophages. In food fraud, we apply NIRS technology for quality control, authenticity, and traceability of agri-food products. We provide access to advanced lab facilities and a portable MicroNIR™ 1700 OnSite-W spectrophotometer. We contribute to EU projects such as TID4AGRO, NECA, GOOD, MARGINUP!, and TECH4EFFICIENCYEDIH.
