Germplasm Bank and Pasture and Fodder Crops Area research groups of the Centre of Scientific and Technological Research of Extremadura (CICYTEX)
- WHO WE ARE:
CICYTEX is a public entity with patrimonial, organizational and functional autonomy of the Regional Government of Extremadura that provide coverage and support to the agricultural and livestock sector in R&D and Innovation. To this end, we develop applied research projects tailored to the needs of the different stakeholders in the sector, supporting the agricultural company and betting on the transfer of the knowledge generated in its facilities.

- WHAT WE OFFER:
We have taken part in major European projects such as RITECA I & II, PRODEHESA-MONTADO, INNOACE, and AGROSMARTCOOP, focused on cross-border cooperation, innovation, and rural development. Other key initiatives include SUBERVIN and SUBERNOVA (cork sector), LIFE PRIORAT+MONTSANT (sustainable viticulture), and COST Action FA1303 (grapevine disease control). These projects reflect our strong commitment to sustainability, technological transfer, and regional competitiveness.
